April 25th and 26th: Two nature walks for Earth Week, and visit us at the Farmer’s Market!

Come celebrate “Earth Week” with The Hastings Park Conservancy this weekend, when we have not one, but TWO Nature Walks on offer this weekend in the Sanctuary at Hastings Park.

First, on Saturday, April 25th at 6:00 AM bright and early, is our perennial Dawn Chorus Walk with the encyclopedic Al Grass as your guide. The walk leaves from the West entrance of the Sanctuary.

Then, on Sunday, April 26th at 11:00 AM, come see us at our Conservancy booth at the Hastings Park Farmer’s Market and join Pat Miller from Nature Vancouver on a GRAND TOUR of the Sanctuary in Hastings Park, Vancouver’s “green gem” and birding hot spot, right here in our own neighbourhood! The tour will leave from our booth at 11:00 AM, look for our green and white banner!

Even if you just want to stop and say hi, our booth will be at the Farmer’s Market from 10:00 AM til 2:00 PM. Other highlights we will have at the market include a Hastings Park Conservancy T-shirt raffle, locally made bird houses for sale and updates on our planned activities in the park through the summer and fall. We will have locally made greeting cards available for purchase, that include beautiful photos of nature in Hastings Park, by renowned bird expert Doug Cooper. We will also have free Sanctuary posters and our new informative pamphlets.

We look forward to seeing you at the final Spring 2015 Farmer’s Market at Hastings Park!
